Dear Families for the 2026 Millstadt Dolphins;

It was so great to see such a wonderful turnout at our open swims this week. As a reminder; practice starts Monday, June 1st at 8 am and 9 am. Make whichever practice you can this week.

There will be a brief parent meeting Thursday, June 4th at 7:00pm at the pavilion by the pool. At this meeting you will be able to hand in your volunteer checks- $250 MADE out to the MILLSTADT DOLPHINS. Your swimmer will not be able to race in meets until we have this on file. At the end of the season your check will be returned to you by meeting our volunteer requirements. It takes a small village to run a smooth and fun swim meet and we cannot do that without the help of our families!

Requirements for the season are for someone from your family or a representative (friend, cousin, someone that owe’s you a favor) to work 3 home meets and 1 away meet, for a total of 4 points. Attached is a brief description of all the jobs at home and away meets. The jobs of set up and take down are worth 0.5 as they are quite brief. All other jobs listed are worth 1.0 point.

Volunteer sign ups open June 1 at 8:00am.

We desperately need trained volunteers for the roles of stroke judge, referee and starter. Without these we are not able to have a Shawnee Conference sanctioned meet. We will offer a brief training for these roles as well at the parent meeting on June 4th.

Also, don’t forget to RSVP your athletes to each individual meet. These are already open for your convenience. Home meet RSVP’s are due 24 hours prior to the meet and away meets are due 48 hours before a meet. This is due to the amount of work the coaches and our computer administrator, Sarah Mitchell have to do for EVERY meet. It is very time consuming.
